Valconca’s tresures

Valconca is one of the most fashinating places you can visit in Rimini’s hinterland, full of historical and artistical tresures; Valconca is structured in many little districts situated from Carpegna Mountain to the Adriatic sea.

Those of you who will spend their holidays here on the Adriatic Riviera will have the chance to make an unforgettable excursion in the hinterland and visit the Valconca area; all the enchanting little towns, like Saludecio, Montegridolfo, Montefiore Conca, Gemmano and Montescudo, where time never goes by, are full of beatiful and interesting things to visit.

Montegridolfo, built inside the difensive walls of the town, was a real military fortress with a sighting tower, a real labirint made of little Medieval roads, where you can take a walk, especially during the fresh Summer nights, and watch the clear sky full of stars.

Montefiore Conca is situated on top of the Valconca area and was the main fortress and place of control and defence of the Montefeltro territory, here, in areas surrounded by green and nature,you can find a lot of wells and paintings.

Gemmano is the Adriatic’s balcony, a well knowned town for its natural surroundings, with paths that connect together all the to the city walls, once a place of defence for its big castle; just a few steps away you can find the Natural Onferno Caves, inside a natural reserve, very important for its impact on flora and fauna.

Montescudo is the town where a lot of ancient findings were discovered, a lot of them belonging to the old Roman times, as proof of its rich history; the city has an historical centre with massive defensive walls and a very important Museum dedicated to the Country Side civilizations.
