Valmarecchia is situated in the north part of Romagna in a large area that includes some of the most typical towns, like San Leo, Sainano, San Marino, Santarcangelo and Verucchio.

In Saiano you can visit the Mother Mary Santuary that ones was the place where all the pregnat women used to go to to ask for Mother Mary’s assistance, because it was supposed to be the place where she made one of her appereances.

San Marino is the oldest Republic of the world, a strong fortress of Medieval origins, situated on the Titan Mountain; today the territory offers a lot of places to visit, like the museum full of old and moder arms, the San Francesco church, with its museum, the wax museum and the local handicraft show.

Santarcangelo, an old fortress that belonged to the Malatesta Family, is famous for the mysterious caves and grottos situated inside Zeus’s Mountain, the place where the city was born.
And last but not least Verucchio, the fortress where you can go to and look at the wonderful view of the Valmarecchia area; this was the city where Paolo and Francesca, the famous lovers of Dante’s Divina Commedia, loved each other; the town has a small museum where you can find some objects of some ancient civilizations that ones lived in these places.
